Elaine, you have to pay to look at 1911 census, but I think it would be worthwhile. I found her by putting the marriage date into the search.

I'm trying to find them in 1901 with no luck. Perhaps they went over to Ireland to show off the grandkids!!

From Elaine
my grandparents were george kennedy + olive rennie married in july 1938 in salford manchester

from this Elaine it sounds like you have the details of the marriage. What was George's father's name on the certificate please/

Ozi

I wasn't ignoring the marriage you put up for Salford.
Just trying to show that care needed to be taken as there are 2 Thomas & Elizabeth marriages, your one in Salford & one in Adlington to Elizabeth Watkins. Both with a son named Peter.

Elaine says Thomas was a gardener & farmer which matches the one in Adlington, as does the place of birth of Ireland, but she is not sure if George's father is Thomas or Herbert.

Hi Elaine,
Had a look at the full 1911 image at Kew for you.
It's as Ozibird has posted plus address: 29 Sackmills Street, Salford. 5 rooms in house.
Married 17 years - husband not at home on census night.
Thomas is a hawker(fruit) with own account
John is an errand boy
Walter is a scholar
8 children born alive and 8 still living.

Hi Elaine
have you confirmed now that George's father is Thomas not Herbert

The 1894 marriage to Thomas fits in with what it says on the census about being married for 17 years. A birth cert for one of the children would confirm it.
