i have tried everything to find record of william J J kemp i
have his marriage lines and his details of the royal marines he was born in east stonehouse Plymouth not South stoneham in hamshire the DOB was march 1873 if you know anything to help as i cant move on to next chapter to find what his mothers maiden name

You haven't told us the father's name - what was it???

Freewheel is quite correct,without his fathers name and occupation he cant be found on census for sure to try and find his birth.

He may well have lied on his naval records,my g.grandad did,first name and DOB were total fabrications.

Elizabeth never seems to come back to any of her posts,so this is a waste of everyones time and effort.

My Great grandfather william John James Kemp was a bugler in the RM joined when he was 16 was still in Royal Marines when he married retired when he reached 50 years old He was married on the 3/11/1895 at the registery office Districk East Stonehouse his wife name is Hetty Mann i would like to know of children he had my grand father was born in 1896 in east stonehouse , and Hetty mann was living in 77 high street east stonehouse At time of marriage the home and william Kemp was in the

Gone back and read again some of the duplicate threads and the info does not really add up especially if he lived past 1911

Will give this one a wide berth
