Find Ancestors

Does anyone know the origins of William Bennett born essex around 1834 and died 1907 fracturing his skull after a fall from a cart.
I know he married twice to matilda and lucy and lived in cromhall.
Have come to a dead end looking for his parents or relatives.

One of his marriage certs would give you his father's name and occupation.

There are 3 William Bennetts born c.1834 on the 1841 census in Essex. You need his father's name from the marriage cert to be sure of which one is yours.

The dead person's name, address where they died, age, occupation.
What they died of.
The informant, their address and perhaps relationship.
Date of registration.

Most of my death certs show relationship of informant, but not always.

Have Williams fathers name from birth certificate.
He is also William Bennett and is also listed as a Hawker

Can find no matches I can be certain of as being correct despite 4 hours of checking all William Bennetts living with William Bennetts born around 1834.

If anyone has any details on William Bennett Snr born 1800ish? Occupation Hawker, Had a son Wiliam Bennett Jnr in 1834 born Essex

I'm not sure which William you mean, Adam.

You can't have a birth certificate for William c1834 as that is before registration. Do you mean his marriage cert, his baptism, or do you mean his son c1868?

I just can't find them in 1891, but I don't think William knows exactly where he was born, or else he liked to fool officialdom. Both those places in Essex do not exist.

Sorry my mistake.

I Have the Marriage and death certificate of William 1834 - 1907

I am now trying to trace his parents although as he has no idea!! where he was born it is proving really difficult.

The only details I have found in weeks of searching the internet have come from his marriage certificate to Lucy Stanley

Both witnesses on this certificate are Stanleys so no clues from there either!

Dated Feb 25th 1879 His father is named as William Bennett and his profession is listed as Hawker (the same as william 1834)

I am trying to find his marriage to Matilda Embury on the census as the witnesses names may be of some help.

Despite searching for many hours can find no marriage of William Bennett to Matilda Embury,
Would like to get hold of a marriage certificate as finding Williams parents and birthplace is proving impossible.

He must have married as his certificate for his second marriage lists him as a widower.

Any one who could possibly point me in the direction of William and Matildas marriage would be hugely appreciated

These mistranscriptions cost novices like me days of searching!!
Will order the certificate tonight and hope that leads somewhere.
I know Williams father was also named william, I am hoping one of the witnesses on the certificate can narrow the search for him and his wife and William jnr's place of birth?
