Much to the annoyance of some, I probably do not read this thread anywhere near enough. So for those that get frustrated with me, please accept my humble apologies.

Lady Kira, thanks for your kind advice. The Pauline I am looking for was born in 1941, named Pauline Jean Taylor on 26th August 1941. I have her birth certificate, but I just cannot find the woman! If there is anyone who can help, please drop me a line. The address on her birth cert is 9, Essex Road, Chingford E.4 Her father was Albert Edward Taylor and her mother was Ellen Taylor formely Smith. I am almost certain that this Pauline is my sister, but I cannot find her.

HELP>>>>>>>>

regards

James

Just bumping my message up. Hoping a Smith or a Taylor, in particular Pauline Jean Taylor born 26.8.1941 might see this message. She was born in 9 Essex Road, Chingford london E4.

One day someone will know my family.

Why not put your query re Pauline onto the new Find Living Relatives thread James?

As has been said before, it is extremely unlikely that she would just happen to spot this thread. She may never have heard of Genes Reunited!

Dear Cynthia and Lady K, I have had more then a few issues in my life to cope with of late, hence my not being in. It sounds like you think that one of my relatives will not drop by!! Why not?? Why would my family NOT being looking for me? Why would not a Smith or a Taylor read this and a huge penny drop. I am not looking for researchers. It seems that some people get very frustrated with others and some of the comments i get sometimes border on rudeness. Not of course from you Cynthia or Lady K.

Dear James,

It is, of course, possible that if someone is hoping to trace you, they may Google your name and come across this post on GR.

It may be an idea for you browse through the other posts on the boards, to get an idea of how the Community boards work.

Basically, there are a group of members to whom genealogy is a hobby and who are on this site daily. They are members who are willing to do birth, marriage, death and census lookups etc. for other members. They are also very experienced in helping to solve queries in relation to genealogy.

You tend to leave very large gaps in your visits here which does not aid continuity and, reading back through your thread, I feel there are some aspects of help which have been given to you which you have not followed through.

For instance, it looks very possible that the Pauline you are researching is, in fact, a member of this site - have you tried to get in touch with her? Simply put her details into the Search Trees box above (in the dark green bar) and then click the Find out More button alongside.

Do take a look through the help you have been given and see if you have missed anything.

Dear Readers

Well, I have been looking for my family for 45 years and while I was away on holiday they were found. My mother Ellen Taylor nee Smith had 4 children with me as her fifth, named Michael John Taylor. Ellen went on to live with a man called Robert Graham with whom she had 6 more children. I am in touch with the earlier and later families. I just wanted to share my news. It is such early days yet, and I will enjoy every careful step we take from now on. All I can say for those who have been looking for as long as I have, never give up. I have had two wonderful, selfless ladies helping me, and one of them struck gold.

A happy ending that I never expected.

regards

James
