This is the message from Kathleen last week. She had asked previously about Charles William Brown the son of Eliza Brown but I think she was trying to piece it together and getting ahead of herself. I am hoping that she will respond to my questions on the thread but if she PM's me I will post the information here for all to see.

i am tying myself in knots here i know all about my fathers brothers and sisters its mums side that is the mystery i sent for her birth certificate which stated her mother s maiden name as Ann Saul im beginning to believe it was a wrong certificate asall connections just fizz out the marriage lines state the fathers name which is charles william brown but not the mothers name no relatives left of a certain age to check things with only surmising about Eliza as she was born in Hull were my parents were born[ outside] Preston East Yorkshire and Marfleet East Yorkshire and of course she has a son charles born 1868 also in Hull with a surname like Brown its not going to be easy

Well, if the marriage certificate is the correct one, the father isn't the one who married the lady named Saul. That one doesn't have a second name.

The obvious need is for Kathleen to order a birth certificate specifying the father's name.

What was his occupation said to be when Florence married?

Who witnessed the event?
