yes the only thing i can say from family is that gladys was definately my grans (rosina) sister but finding the father and mother of george seams very elusive the proverbial brick wall has hit me on this

And the truly annoying part is I can't find Rosina and Gladys in 1911 !

i can say maureen that eliza remarried in sept 1913 to william george smith but i cant find anything with him either

i have reference for marriage of eliza and william smith but havnt managed to do anything with it yet

birth date for rosina is 14 oct 1903 and only have 1901 for gladys and from what i can make out they were all born or spent most of childhood at 7 wine street, bath

could george william hancock b sept 1878 wilts son of thomas hancock and janes skues/skews wilts be the george william i am looking for

I have a hunch that the George William Hancock that Gillian found is really yours,despite the age on the 1911 census.
Trouble is,I doubt if you'll ever be able to prove it.

Since Eliza re-married so quickly and George isn't deceased (or is he?) it's probable that they were never married. Divorces were costly.

Any idea if George William re-married?
