I've purchsed the Salindine Nook 1783 -1822 dedications booklet and Ithink I have worked it out. There are indeed 2 James and Betty Shaw families.

1.Longwood with Edmund13-2-1819 & James18-12-1820
2 Longwood Clough with Thomas 14-5-1820 & Susannah 10-8-1822

Allen 1833 fits into the first family and Elizabeth 1824, John 1826 Sarah 1829 and Joseph 1833 the other family.

I suspect the parents of my James Shaw 1789 is John & Elizabeth and he has siblings Joseph 1785 and Samuel 1787
