Hey Pat,

You have asked me to look at this and i figured it would be easier on this thread than mine.

Births Jun 1886 ANSTY Arthur Thomas Hereford 6a [56]23
Births Mar 1888 ANSTY William Abergavenny 11a 45
Births Sep 1890 Ansty George Henry Abergavenny 11a 5
Births Jun 1893 Ansty Clara Ann Abergavenny 11a 51
Births Dec 1894 Ansty Alice Ellen L Abergavenny 11a 48

The children's deaths?

Deaths Jun 1893 Ansty Clara Ann 0 Abergavenny 11a 32
Deaths Mar 1897 Anstey Arthur 11 Abergavenny 11a 39

~~~~~
I cannot find a birth for Edward/Edwin??
Possible?
Births Dec 1897
Jones Edward Wilfrid Abergavenny 11a 40
Did 'Louisa' get confused because Thomas has died before the birth of the baby and registered it in her maiden name? I cannot find an Edward Anst(e)y birth.
They state on the 1911 census that they have been married 9 years, that is clearly a lie as 'Louisa' is using John's name in 1901, so thats at least 10 years?
~~~~~
Have we dismissed this one for Leonard?

Births Jun 1902 Miles James Leonard Cleobury M. 6a 610

(The district Cleobury M. is an alternative name for Cleobury Mortimer and it spans the boundaries of the counties of Herefordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire)

Abergavenny to the Cleobury district is quite close (50 miles or so) could 'Louisa' have had problems and had to have the child at a hospital in that reg district?

Just a few thoughts
