Hi All, You are doing a sterling job of broadening your searching. When I tried yesterday, I found Martha Maria's marriage to Thomas Young, at Shoreditch, and I have always had a handwritten copy of Sarah Ann's marriage cert. In the 1841census I found William Bloice, 45, George 20, William 15 and Mary 15. No mother, and twins, which still occur in my family today, usually every second generation. (My father had twin brothers.) Couldn't find a record of William's marriage. And of course, would still like to know Robert sen's parents and Martha Rebecca's maiden name and parents. Too much wishing? And I think William Longden Hatfied, tailor, and named Attfield in the record, boarded with one of the Bloice sisters, and that's how he and Sarah Ann met. Thanks again, M |

Thanks Sylvia and everyone else for a very interesting thread. I found the connection with William Hatfield, and Sarah Ann, his future wife. William boarded with Martha Maria and Thomas Young. Both men were tailors. You also gave me heaps of other info I didn't have about the family, so I am very grateful. I'll continue the search. Cheers, Margaret |
