Hello...I am the great grand daughter of an Edward Alcock, about whom I know nothing, other than he married Jane Blackhall, wand they bore a son, Joseph William Alcock, who emigrated to the USA. We know nothing of Grandpa's family, but do know that he grew up with Jane Blackhall's parents in Scotland almost from birth. What I don't know is this...what happened to Edward...why did Joseph William not live with Edward
or Jane ? did he have siblings ? was he illegitimate ? did Edward Alcock have siblings and did they have children...so many questions, so few answers thus far.I appreciate your help !

Gael...Thank You.!..this is my ggrandmother...her son, my grandfather Joseph William Alcock, did not live with her or his father, Edward Alcock...apparently J.W. grew up with his maternal grandparents in Scotland..shows up on the census records there as grandson living w/ Wm. Blackhall....no idea where "James Blackhall (Alcock ?) lived ...or what happened to Edward......P.S. now I know her birthdate...and this info. goes w/ Astra's which I had known..pps...are you related toAlcock?
