i have just read all thr messages and i dont know if the marriageis correct as i dont have it sorry i will do some more checks as i can see things dont add up thank you all very much

i have been on ancestry and genes but it still lost i can only say what i have been told my father is passed now i have been looking of and on for 5yrs they worked on the land so she will have died in wakefield then james came back to thirsk laura had a brother walter when her mother married he was given walter horner shaw as his name her mother was eliza 1855 i can only assume they were illigitamate

Why didn't you acknowledge that the 1897 marriage was CORRECT?

There is no death for a Laura Calvert in 1918/19

Suggest you do some checking on freebmd

my dad was born 1981 his mom laura 1880 died 3mths after her mother was eliza 1855 laura married james calvert they had children frances 1898,edith 1913,walter1908,jack1906, as i am told frances had given birth 6mths previous so to dad on and wet nurse him
