thanks for answering, this is part of the story that doesnt make sense the family were told he had a sister adelaide and a brother thomas.
The only births I can find were for those names but they had the surname barnshaw.
It could be John Barnshaw Duttons father was John Dutton.

Leesle - the Barnshaw probably comes from the mother Adelaide's maiden name. What was the birth details of the Adelaide and Thomas that you found?

oh gosh thanks everyone, the adelaide barnshaw birth I found seemed the wrong year but the right area, couldnt find an adelaide dutton birth in that area.

......these would be the two sons of John and Adelaide. Probably living with Grandparents because their parents had died.

If anyone can help with one final thing I would be grateful, this family insist there was a baby called adelaide dutton born to these two just before they died in 1906.

so between 1903-1906 in cheshire prob Nantwich, I have tried I cant find it. Thankyou

Do the family know if she married or had any children?

hi she was supposedly a black sheep there was some falling out, think she had a baby and she wasnt married. They thought it was the end of the world and cut her off, no idea what happened to her after that.
