Anybody got access to passenger lists to New York
Robert Hay b 1842 Hutton Dumfriesshire, died New York 10th April 1870. Was still in Dumfries on 1861 census aged 19.

David Hay b 1826 Dumfries, died Melbourne Aus 1908.

Janey should know? Yeah, right, just because my gr-grps absconded to Oz for a while, I'm an expert. ;) Not. Although I'm a dab hand with South African archives!

Sorry, you'll have to find Ozibird, or that Aussie one of the Julies, or TonyOz, and others not coming to mind as they should. They all know this stuff.
