Ellen Emily James was the daughter of Frederick and Ellen James. She was born circa 1887 in Covent Garden London. Her elder brother was Frederick James and she had 8 other siblings. I would be interested to find out when she died or if she ever married. |

Thank you everyone. Mike that is quite interesting because I seem to remember my mother telling me she was evacuated to her aunt Ellen (or Nell as they called her) and she lived in Sussex. I will have to check it with her and see if this jogs her memory ie the husbands name. |

1911 says 10 of 13 children were still alive |

Gosh does that mean that 3 children died? |

Ryswick23 | Report | 29 Dec 2010 18:09 |
I knew there were 9 children in total and one boy called John died but I wasnt aware there were anymore who died. I have never seen any others listed on earlier census. |

it would mean they died as infants, being born and deceased inbetween the census years |

Sorry if I seem a bit thick but does this mean Edwin Brown and Amelia Wood were witnesses? I am really shocked to see they may have married in Dorchester - how curious |
