Find Ancestors

I think i'm having one of those evenings where things are hiding from me on the searches.

I'm looking for the marriage of William Johnson and Jane (I dont know her maiden name) around 1881 in Lancashire. Also the births of their children.

I cant find hide nor hair of them. On the 1891 census they have a 9 year old child, and on the 1911 census it says married 30 years so I'm thinking that must be 1881. I also think i've found William living at home in 1881.

I've searched for the 4 children named on the 1911 census and the wedding but I just cant find them.

Nor can I find another family in 1891!

If anyone can help stop me going nuts and shouting at the leprechauns I think may well be now living in the search engines of geneaology sites the information I have is below

My grandmother was always told William and Jane were both twins and lived on the same street in childhood?

Also I have George and Elizabeth Barron with their son George in 1901 but I cant find them in 1891.

Thank you Marion but I dont think it is as the bride and groom are wider apart in age, They were roughly the same age.

Thank you Roy, I'm all baffled because that would make sense but then why would he then be living with his parents in 1881 in the census? And if it isnt him in 1881 with the parents where is the family? I cant find records of any of the children's births.

I've just found another 2 children on the 1891 census:

Mary born 1883 and Jane born 1885 but I cant find either of them either?

Marion, I think that's him in 1881 yes, he's the right age and it'd seem right if he named a daughter Isabella if his sister and mother were called it. But then if that is him then when did he get married?

Just looked, Mary Rimmer is the grand daughter.

I wonder if that wedding *was* them, and the Rimmers are part of the family he marries into?
