I would like some advice with this problem if anyone has any ideas.
I have marriage of Lilian Alice Hinett 22, father William Henry Hinett, to Walter Harris on 23.12.1922. Kidderminster

I sent for birth 15.1.1900 Kidderminster, it only has Lilian, no 2nd name of Alice, father William a wool dyers labourer mother Ellen formerly Molloy.

This is the only birth that i can find but there is also a death 1901 for Lilian Hinett so how do i know if i have the correct birth.

What was the father's occupation as per the marriage cert?

Is 1900 the correct birth year based on her age at marriage?

The second forename could have been added at baptism.......or by the girl herself

well according to her death she was born in April 1900

Shirley she died age 38 in childbirth 5th baby so that can't be her death but how do you get so much detail.

Flick that is what i am afraid of but i cannot find another birth for my Lilian.

Her father was a labourer on the marriage certificate.

Christina what does it mean a line through their names

Queen St is the adress on birth that i have and have also found them their on 1901 census

The address on marriage is Hall Street in 1922

1911 census for William and Alice Hinett says they have had 2 children but only 1 is still living and its a boy (Edward). I would assume that this couple are the parents of the Lilian that has died. So presumably you do have the right certificate.

I can only assume that if a line was through their names the parents have listed their children and then realised that they were actually NOT at home when the census was taken.

So if i have the birth cerificate for the Lilan that died how do i find the correct one.

Their is only one daughter left of Lilan Hinett and Walter Harris, she was only 5yrs old when her mum died so can't remember much, she wasn't sure if her Mum was Hinett, Forest or Forester.
I know that Hinett is correct as it is the maiden name Lilian used when she registered the childrens birth.

I know the marriage is correct because of the address of both Lilian and Walter.

The one you have the cert for had parents of William and Ellen and on the 1911 census posted they have no children still alive. They did put the two childrens names born to them .must have misunderstood what was being asked on the form but the names are crossed through as they are not living .
columns ask:-

the 1901 census posted is for the lilian that died. ie parents William & Ellen that you have the cert for . and show as no children still living on the 1911 census same address

Thank you Shirley,that if why i posted on here, as i doubted that the birth i had was correct, now i need to find the birth of my Lilian, which i cannot find anywhere.
Maybe she was born with another name and became Hinett later, hence Aunty Roma not being sure of Lilian's maiden name.
