Hi All
So much information it took me some time to analyse it.
Thank you all so much.
The article which I saw in the Victorian Colonial Newspaper prompted me to post the message. I have Thomas' wife as Eleanor Richardson and I have their three children as TonyOZ stated, all arriving in 1856 on the Mindoro.
So perhaps the name Sarah is a typo, although I have a second wife for Thomas, namely Mary ? (b. c1834 Vic) who had 3 children to him, Mary Ann (c1881 Vic), Elizabeth (c1883 Vic), Jane (c1886 Vic).
All of the Embletons/Embeltons in the replies are my ancestors, some of the information I have but you all have kindly provided some information that I didn't have including the twins born in 1864.
Cherilyn...the info you provided on the Richardsons who also came out on the Mindoro certainly looks to be Eleanor's (Ellen) family. I didn't have any of this information.
Many thanks for the time and effort you all have put in it is much appreciated.

Hi Mel
Mary McGuane looks like a possible match for the Mary I have but I have Thomas being born in Tynemouth Northumberland England and the three children are the ones I have although there is variance with the third child as I have only the name Jane born 1886 and I don't have the suburbs only know that they were all born in Victoria. I don't have Mary's birth date or her surname.
I guess the only way to prove that she is the right Mary is to buy their marriage certificate.
Thanks so much for your help

Hi Mel
Thanks for the additional information.
The marriage details (1879) you provided state that Mary was born in Warrenheip, Vic. The death details (1946) you have found would make Mary 18 years of age when she married Thomas which is feasible.
My Great Uncle, Thomas appears to have been a bit of a rogue marrying such a young girl.
I will buy some certificates to confirm that I have the right Mary.
I do appreciate your time and effort in sourcing the information for me.
Many thanks.
