Hi Steve
In the "Teesvalleyindexes" you will find marriages in Middlesbrough which may be the children of Moses/Mark and Sarah
Ada 1906 to William H Rowley or 1913 to Isaac P Johnston
Sarah E 1905 to John Nichols
William 1897 to Laura Pickwell
Moses 1897 to Ellen Mordue
The Middlesbrough operates a confirmation service for those people who wish to buy or are just making enquiries
If you click onto "middlesbrough"on the page where these records occur an auto enquiry form appears
There is no charge for this and one usually gets a response within a day

Looking at 1911 I would guess that Ada married William Henry Rowley and these were their children -

Births Dec 1908
Rowley William Henry Middlesbro' 9d 564a

Possibly followed by these -

Births Jun 1915
Rowley Annie Watkins Middlesbro 9d 1087

Births Sep 1918
Rowley John A Watkins Middlesbro 9d 974

Births Sep 1925
Rowley Ada I Watkins Middlesbro' 9d 984

There is a marriage of Herbert Pickwell Watkins to a Wininfred Dickinson in 1928 in Middlebrough which points to Herbert being the son of William b1873
There are 2 Watkins/Dickinson births in 1933 &1936 and one can follow them thru to marriages in the 50's
They are too recent to report them here - If you want the info ,contact me by PM

What a lovely story and what a nice man to take the time and effort. It's also nice that it ended up with Sarah, who obviously appreciated it.

My Watkins's also had a family Bible that belonged to my father's grandparents, who had brought him up. Sadly they died when my father was away fighting in WW2 and my father never found out what happened to the Bible. These Watkins's lived in Wales. So if there is another 'Steve' out there and they find a Bible with the names of Alfred and Ann Rosetta in it would mean so much to my sister and I, even just to look at it.

Kind regards
Sandy
