So you really need your George's birth certificate.

Although there's really no reason to think that a family in Hackney with a son George born in Bethnal Green is yours. The George Sr in that household is a cook.

What was your George Sr's occupation on George Jr's marriage certificate please?


You're looking it up so I won't post it here -- George who married Clara is in the 1891 as a printer's compositor, no kids.

Found Clara Manning death record which proves she died 3 years after she married George...and remarried lucy in 1898

George sr is a bootmaker, so it all is kind of adding up.
Catherine is possibly his sister then.

Been trying to find her ( Catherine Manning)on the 1841 census. So far no luck.
Although according to the census it states relation to head of family.....in that case he is Williams brother ?????

Why not get the birth certificate

and if father George is a bootmaker you have the right one, and you have his mother's name.

It certainly looks like that's him.
