Sorry Guys me again, just wondering how to trace information on Arthur Charles Firman that moved to Austrialia. he was born 1912 married Iris Gibson in 1947, had two children Cyril Firman 1948 and Keith Firman 1951. he later abandoned his family, he was in the RAF and moved to Australia.
Any Help in how to trace would be greatly appreciated.
The main information i wish to find out is if he started a family in Australia and im ashuming he will now have passed away.

Iv just rechecked and i cant seem to place them dates. the dates are they year of birth? Arthur Firman is my grandad and my dad was born 1948 so theses dates seem too far back :-S

You need to know ages and fathers' names from the marriage certificate then you can trace the births.

Have you found them on 1911 census. ?
This would give you their birthplaces.

Have you searched trees to see if any members also have this family?


Do you know when and where Frederick and Lily were born?

If Arthur was born 1912 then there is no reason why he could not have had your dad in 1948.

I was born 1948 and my dad was born in 1908.

That would fit with the birth of your Father then.

The only Frederick Firman I can find born c 1886 in Essex is

Possible for Lilly - if she was born same area.
Again you need her full name from the marriage cert
