1851 and 1871 census help please

I have been looking for:

Charlotte A Bush b. 1824 in Greenwich.

I have her and her children in every census apart from the two above.

In 1847 she had a son, Edwin Moore Bush and was unmarried.

By 1871 she also had Emily b. 1853 and Henry b. 1859 and was still unmarried.

All addresses were in Greenwich.

Could somebody please try to find her in the missing years?

All help really appreciated, thanks.

I found James Bird Bush (wonderful name!!) in 1851 but Charlotte isn't with him.

Frustrating! I can see various census and her baptism, and death registration, but cannot see her in 1851 :-(

Because she gave her son the middle name Moore I did wonder if he was the Father and was perhaps using that name.

*takes aspirin* no idea if that child belonged to Charlotte or one of her siblings, they didn't seem to be big in the marrying stakes. However, it does make sense other than the change in name.

no ... but if Emma had a different papa Charlotte could have been somewhere with him and Emma :-)

I did think it might be unlikely so assumed we would find a Thomas Bush birth to rule that possibility out ... but

Bush Edwin Moore Greenwich 5 256

and the nearest Thomas Bush birth is jun quarter 1848 in Maidstone ...

Well the Edwin part fits, date pretty good. Is it a name change from Edwin Moore to Thomas Edwin?
