While I was in Beverley, I had a quick flick through some bound register transcripts and found the 14 Nov 1694 burial in Bubwith of Magdalena Mownsey of Barmby and I also checked the Blacktoft entry for Betty Mounsier's baptism found on familysearch.org - the entry is correct and there is the additional information that they were living near New Village.

The transcripts went up to about 1812, the above were the only entries in Bubwith and Blacktoft.

Hemingbrough and York itself are possible locations for the birth of your Arthur senior. I'm sure you can discount Woolley - it's too far over and none of the other details fit with what we know.

Thaks Kim
I think I may need to pay a visit to Beverley at some point. Where can I find the records showing John Mownser to be the son of Arthur and Betty? I have found John's birth on familysearch in 1791 and John Mounsor's marriage to Amelia in 1818. Also Arthur and Betty's marriage in 1789 but nothing to prove their connection for sure.
