I am looking for any information on Harry Hewitt, only information known is that he married Mabel Edith Pearson in 1906 in Brighton, Sussex, England. On the marriage certificate he states his father's name is Robert (deceased) who was a merchant seaman.

Any assistance would be very much appreciated as there is no other information that I have been able to uncover on this great grand-parent. :-(

was Mabel Edith Pearson previously married, from the marriage certificate ?

her age and father's name ?

there is only one birth registration showing for that name and it was in 1897 in Steyning so that is not her

to find them together on the 1911 census and hope to get more info, like his place of birth, all this information is needed

how about Mabel ? still can't identify a birth or find her before the marriage in a census ... Billingshurst is in Horsham registration district ...

I'm wondering if there's some relationship between Mabel Edith King and Mabel Edith Hewitt....some more info would be helpful - Harry's age and occupation for example. I note there were some Harry Hewitts in the army, perhaps this explains his absence from home....
