Mary Ann Burlington 1881 census age 6 in Devon work house,1901 gave birth to Wilfred,1911 census now called Beatrice Kerr married to Robert(engine fitter in Devonport)she had 4more childrenGladys,Harry,Roland,and my father Reginald. Robert Kerr (from Eastend docks London)moved family frm Devon to Inverness,Scotland then back down to Portsmouth where he died in 1936 age 66.Apart from above mentioned censuses cannot find any trace of Mary Ann/Beatrice work house records say was born 1875(but no cert found)Also no record of any marriage or death.??

Are you saying Mary Ann morphed into Beatrice?

the only wilfred Kerr I can see born 1911 doesn't add up

I'm just wondering if all the Burlington/Burrington in 1881 workhouse are related.
Especially as Beatrice and Robert had son Roland which seems to be a bit uncommon.

Ive tried to follow them to see the reason for Mary Ann/beatrice's name change.

Sorry to confuse anybody but like it has been said,feedback from the poster would help.

If she would only come back and tell us exactly what info she has.

No marriage of a Robert D Kerr as yet,only his death in 1936,their son Roland 1908 was Roland David Kerr.

Wilfred was born in the Durham area.

On the 1911 record the place of birth for children isn't filled in.

It states they had 6 children one died, married 9 and a half years
