Hello I was wondering if someone would be able to help me find some information on Walter Andrew Gary. All I have so far is that he married Daisy Head in 1917 in East Grinstead. They had a daughter in born in 1921 in Wandsworth Margaret Joyce Gray. I understand that he was in world war one, so interested in any information on that if possible and also when and where he died. I am trying to find out for my boss's mother, Margaret,. Walter Andrew Gray was her father and she never met him and has just started asking questions.

I posted a possible in the first reply above yesterday. But it's difficult to be sure that it is the correct one without more information.

I was just wondering if it was possible to have any further help on Walter Andrew Gary.
There is a Walter Andrew Gary on the 1901 census which looks like it is the Walter I am interested in, but the only thing is it says he is in the Navy.
On his marriage certifice of 1917 it says that he was a Private and his place of residence as A.S.C active service.
If anyone can shed any further light on this I would be much appreciated.

Was just looking at that Shirley

But the one I was about to try and check was in 1933 Berkshire so possibly the wrong area

maybe the informant on her death cert was a year out in her birth year
