Find Ancestors

Edwin Dunnett born 1827 father William mother Ann. He appears in the 1841 census but can't seem to track him down in the '51. He was married in 1853 to Elizabeth Ann Champ.
Also having trouble tracking down William Dunnett born 1801/1806, can't find his parents, place of birth etc.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Died in Guys's hospital, suggesting that the family were back in London around about the turn of the decade.

Known problems with 1851 census - Water damage during storage

So unless the surname has been poorly transcribed, its possible that the Dunnett records were amongst those damaged.

Do you know Det - I had just this very minute thought of that !

I know a site where you can see some of the missing ones and can sometimes work them out - I will go and see if I can find anything !

Both Edwin and Adelaide have Probate/Administration available from the Calendar, IF required.

There are other records available for Edwin and Adelaide, but Lindy may already have them.

I don't know why I didn't think about the missing records earlier as 99% of 'my lot' are from Salford & Manchester areas and I am always having trouble with them on 1851

Have to go out for a while now but will see if I can come up with anything later.
