As i dont have a full subscription to Ancestry Is it possible some kind person could help me.

Ancestry has a Maggie Rawlinson travelling with a Robt Rawlinson on the 1820- 1943 Boston passenger and crews list.

Maggie i am hoping is Agnes Ann Rawlinson nee Kellet.

Dob 1885 Millom Cumberland.
Her parents were Arthur and Isabella.
Known addresses were Albert st and Lonsdale road Millom Cumberland.
I have no information regarding Robert Rawlinson dob or where born.

Maggie and Robert married in 1912 at St Georges church Millom.
I would be interested in any information regarding either as i think this may be my grandmothers sister.

Thank you for any help in this matter.

Best wishes.
Maurice.

Hi Susan,

From Cumbria bmd a Maggie Kellett married a Robert Rawlinson 1912 in Millom.

My mother used to talk about an aunt Maggie and an uncle Bob.

My grandmother Martha Jane Kellett visited them in the 1950s.
I am hoping this may be them.
Thanks for your replies.
Best wishes
Maurice.

here's the birth of Annie Isabel -

Births Jun 1914 (>99%)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ROWLINSON Annie I Kellett Barrow F 8e 1415

I can't see a birth for Dorothy, but I did find this -

Births Jun 1920 (>99%)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Skeate Dorothy Keen Barrow F. 8e 1536

There are several Skeate/Keen births in Barrow up to 1920.

On the original passenger list 'Skeate' has been written against Dorothy's name, above the printed surname of Rawlinson.

Choccy
Good find

I must admit I am still a little confused as to how Agness Ann Kellet got to be Maggie ROWLINSON on to a marriage cert to Robert they usually put there correct birth name .

All the same I can see a connection .

Suex

Maurice

Maurice Report 24 May 2012 11:07

Thanks Choccy, i think i will get the marriage certificate for Maggie and Robert.

Kendal, Dalton, Barrow and Millom are all in close proximity, so it could well be him.

Best wishes
Maurice.
