can't see anything else!! - marriage certificate seems to be the only way forward to confirm

Dorothy Skeate Rawlinson is also a mystery .....

Cheers Choccy, there is most certainly a lot of information to sift through.
But am fairly certain this is the family.

Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Best wishes

Hi Susan,

I myself had been confused for a number of years. Only having aunt this or uncle that to go on makes it at times hard to track people down.

My mother also visited this family in the 1970s but only called them aunt Maggie and uncle Bob.

As for Maggies name on the marriage cert i have a few certs where the person has used their second or preffered name. As far as i am aware this is not illegal.
Thanks for you input.
Best wishes
Maurice.

Thank you Choccy and Susan.

After speaking to my sister i can confirm.

Dorothy Skeates Rowlinson was adopted. My mother had told my sister.

The passenger list is correct Choccy.

The Skeates Keen connection also helped.

Dorothy Skeate dob 1920 A/M/June
Mother Elizabeth Keen Married William Cookson Skeate.
Elizabeth Skeate dod 1920 A/M/June.
Thank you for you assistance.
Best wishes
Maurice.
