Find Ancestors

I am trying to trace any details prior to 1881 for Forrest Barckley Hampson believed to have been born in Woodbridge, Suffolk in September 1858 (according to his navel records) although later census details list as late as 1861.

I have just come to a complete standstill although with such an unusual name I feel that I should be able to trace his parents and any other siblings.

I cannot see a Green/Hampson marriage which might explain the name change, and cannot see him 1871. By 1881 he is a sailor.
It just has to be his birth, you might need the cert.

Thanks for your help, I too am looking for a Hampson/Green Marriage but cannot seem to find anything. I am waiting for his marriage certificate to arrive from the GRO but feel that he may be illegitimate which would still not help me.
My cousin has his enlistment papers for the navy but no mention of family on those.

I will order the birth certificate for Forest Berkley Green as this does seem likely and see if that sheds any light.

Could he be Forrest? Might Felicity be the daughter of Robert & Felicity? Could Barclay be his father's name?

His father was Arthur William Reginald Hampson, general dealer (deceased) and his wife was Minnie Martin Her father was William Martin.labourer (deceased)
Nov 26 1892 was when they married.

He has no 343 against his name and if you click on the left hand side of the page, you can view his marriage certificate.

Looking at 1861, Felicity is the most obvious choice for his mother, though there are 2 other daughters on 1851.
Horace and Forrest sound pretty similar don't they? Surely must be him nice find Christine!.
But I would get the birth cert.
