Find Ancestors

Hi guys...

Been a member here for ages now, but this is my first post!

Having serious problems locating the birth cert for my Great Grandmother Minnie Jefferies. I have her wedding cert showing her to be 21 in 1905 (so birth approx 1884). It shows her father is Edward Jefferies. I can find no evidence of either of them in any Census returns (except when she was married), no birth certs, nothing. I have full membership to this site so have made the most of searching through the records and censuses and have tried various spellings of Jefferies (Jeffries, Jeffrys...etc). Nothing!

I don't know where to go next! Anyone have any ideas or a few minutes to have a look for me, it would be much appreciated?! I'm probably missing something very obvious, I'm thinking a fresh pair of eyes may help!

Her address on the wedding cert is 104 Bishop Road, Fulham and the marriage was at All Saints Church, Fulham, London.

I posted the marriage to give us her Fathers occupation and to see if the witnesses were family members which may have helped.

Thanks! I know alot of my family changed occupation from one census to the next so it could very well be that he was a bricklayer when Minnie was born then turned his hand to carpentry by the time she got married! Thanks for all your help! <3

Will order one of the birth certs, I think the one with the spelling Jeffery as I think that will be more likely....I know she was born in Fulham....never seen walham Green in any family docs/info. Thanks again!

Struggling to find her in 1891 and 1901. :-(

I know.....I've not been able to find anything of her or her father prior to her getting married. I can't imagine how many hours I have spent looking for her. It's a strange one cause even her own children (who are all passed away now) knew nothing about her when I asked them years ago.

Don't give up............someone might pop on here later and find something.

I will check back later.

It could be that the parents had died and she was fostered out...........or her Father died and her Mother remarried so she might appear under a different name!
