I am not having a good day, had my credits deducted but either blank image or wrong image came up. Please would someone be kind enough to look up Alexander Young born 1835 Scotland, he would be in the Hornsey area on the 1891 and 1901 census. Many thanks.

Many thanks all.
I have already seen the 1911 image and that is him at his niece Charlotte's. That was a great find as I hadn't managed to find him or his siblings (apart from my great grandfather) since the Scottish 1851 census.
Elizabeth on the 1891 & 1901 census is his sister although she was born in Edinburgh but the age is right. so another great find.

Many thanks all again :-)

625pal, not sure what that is so will look that up in a mo.

once again :-) all round

I have reviewed everything and yes this is the same Alexander on all census. Plus with some of his sisters, that is great.

Checking my records, I realise that I knew his eldest sister was born somewhere in England, but was baptised in Scotland, so her birth area is another great find. And maybe a clue to where their mother came from.

Many thanks again

Hi Gins
Yep they are the ones, I looked those up years ago on Scotlands People, but never got any further than the 1841 & 1851 census for the siblings.
I found my great grandfather Charles with his parents on the 1861 census but not any of the siblings. His parents died before the 1871 census was taken but I found Charles & his wife on the 1871 & 1881. I often wondered what happened to the siblings till the 1911 census came out and I found his uncle Alexander with one of Charles' sisters.
Because of the help given I have now got the place of birth for his eldest sister, so with a bit of luck and another lookup request I may be able to find out something about their mother's parents.
I'm a happy bunny at the moment, will it last! :-)

Wow Gin that was quick I was about to ask someone to look up something, I didn't think about Elizabeth's baptism as she was baptised in Edinburgh but the birth date is the same. Was there anything else on it?

I am putting another look up thread on in a moment.
