Find Ancestors

Can someone have a look at this one for me, I have a William Wotherspoon born in or about 1878. His alleged to be the son of William Waddell Wotherspoon and Jane (Jeanie) Arthur Knox.

I am completely mystified as all I can find is a FamilySearch file which if I am reading correctly, says he died in Scotland in 1902 but emigrated to Australia in 1908 and fathered a child in 1915 :-S

Already have those bits about the family and siblings and have them sorted out, it is just the son William that is giving me grief.

Don't ever give too much credence to info on familysearch......unless the records you see are extracted from Parish Registers

The 1911 Scottish census on Scotlands people should answer your query.............

I have been led astray before by information on FamilySearch, once bitten twice shy, hence my query. I will have a look at the 1911 census to see what that throws up.

Also I did not think I was breaking the rules as I have not queried this individual before. I do try to resolve a lot by myself using SP and FMP and only ask questions on those I hit a dead end with.
