of course, we're all just guessing.............

Really surprised by the speed of everyone’s replies – thanks.
My husband’s great grandfather is a Daniel Willoughby born in about 1863 to Lucy Vincent and George Willoughby or Uriah Magee. The confusion is that I read somewhere (and I cannot remember where it was) that Lucy Vincent married Uriah Magee and had some children by him. Uriah Magee then disappeared for several years so Lucy had him declared dead then married George Willoughby. Lucy had more children by George but then Uriah returned, kicked George out and Uriah and Lucy had more children. Some of the children who were Magee’s are called Willoughby and vice versa, so quite a mix up and it is not clear whether the aforementioned Daniel is really a Willoughby or a Magee. Has anyone else heard anything about this?
