How did you manage to get to that info so quickly Andrew especially with the Meyce and not Magee? I would never have found that. Amazing

Plumstead makes sense as my husband's family were from that area. I guess the various spellings of the name are understandable and the Irish Uriah McGee is the same as the later Plumstead one.

The actual parish record for that baptism states the father as Uriah - it's been mistranscribed as Josiah :-)


They may well have been hop pickers ??
