I think her mother's remarriage may be the Lambert Connection - she would possible have been stepsister

Hi folks, think I've got very rusty on all this. I'm into veg growing now!
Would some kind soul tell me where we are at?
So Ellen (Caroline) Hickey born 1906 is the step-sister of Charles John Lambert, b 1902, d 1955.
How?
Her mother, Sarah Caroline Bosher, married Robert (William) Hickey in 1903 who died in ?? have we got that? Before 1928. Sarah Caroline and Robert had a son Robert James in 1909, who was living with her in the 1930s.
Sarah Caroline then married Charles W Lambert, father of Charles John above, in 1922. Presumably Annie Quinnear, CWL's first wife died before 1922. Do we have a likely date for the death? I have lost the plot!
Sorry, packing to go on hol, but will pick upGR while there.

Margaret, I thought it all seemed quite straightforward!
Ellen Caroline Hickey's mother Sarah Caroline remarried in 1922 to Charles W Lambert thus making Ellen Caroline the stepsister of Charles John. She only omitted the "step" part of the relationship on the death registration.
Haven't yet found a likely death for Annie (nee Quinnear), but perhaps it wasn't her death that resulted in the subsequent remarriage of Charles W - maybe they separated/divorced?

I am sure it was all straightforward to a person with half a brain, just been out of the investigating loop for a while. Getting back in!!!!

That's it sorted then I think. Thanks folks. I should have been able to do it on my own, but you made it much easier. Hope I can return the favour sometime.
Margaret.
PS Tell me if I'm wrong!

No, I think you've got it sorted Margaret!
