can anybody help me find a george raymond lane,born london area around 1906,he married an alice peck born around 1907,had 5 children,eunice,joyce,sheila,roselee and george,jnr,we are trying to find the family of george snr and alice,i had some information but it seemed it was the wrong couple,as they had divorced and she had remarried before my father in law,george jnr had been born,,.....so seems these names are quite popular,i have no idea who their parents were or anything,anybdy help??..thanks keeley

Who was divorced?

alice middle name was either may or mabel,how do i look for divorce,we dont know if george married again as he disappeared from his childrens lives

goerge and alice we presume got divorced at some point but they definately parted,their youngest child george raymond lane jnr was born in 1941,so it must have been after that

the marriage and the childrens births are all on FreeBMD . they moved around a bit though !!

Who...and when.........did Alice marry the second time?

George jnr was registered as Lane with MMN Peck..................so his mother can't have been re-married by then

And the youngest girl was Rosaline

I have posted his death and the informant could be family .

There are umpteen marriages for George R lane after 1941 so not possible to say if anyone is him.

The informant on his death cert could be one of his new family , if he had one !

You said initially that Alice re-married.............now you say you aren't sure if she was divorced

Do you know when and where she died?

And the name she was using at the itme

we dont know if alice married again,or whether george did,as there could be other children out there,we didnt know he died in wiltshire either,just told my hubby,this info is great thanks...am looking on freebmd,thanks

no,initially someone found some info on a george and alice,lane and nee peck,but the couple this person found for me wasnt the right one as that alice had remarried before the year george jnr was born,thats when we realised it wasnt the correct family......we dont know what happened to alice at all,we cant find her
