Hi Guys, here I am once again on the hunt for relations...

I have tried for days and keep going around in circles, so now I am in need of a second pair of eyes and you guys are so good at this...

Gladys Elizabeth Sivert born 11 September 1907 Massachusetts to Swedish parents Axel R Sivert and Ellen (Helen) Stenholm.. I have her listed on the 1930 and 1940 census Massachusetts with both parents, there doesn't appear to be any other children listed for this family. But according to the 1930 census, they are living with relatives Carl G Bjorkman and his wife Martha. Axel Sivert is listed as "brother in law" Ellen is "sister" and Gladys is "niece" so my first thoughts that Ellen's surname was perhaps "Bjorkman" but she is definitely listed as "Stenholm" on Gladys birth in 1907.?? Is it possible that Carl' wife Martha is a sister to Ellen Stenholm? I couldn't find her to confirm details..

Gladys was listed as teacher and she married William Clave ( she was a second wife) in 1941. No children traced for these two. I have them listed in the 1948 -1953 directories so I haven't been idle.. No sign of them after this. William Clave has died in 1963. Cant find Gladys anywhere until I traced a death for a Gladys E Gilbert (could have been mis transcribed from Sivert her maiden name)?? In 2006 Connecticut which I think could possibly be her,and it does give her birth date as 11 September 1907... I'm trying to establish her whereabouts from 1953-2006 and how I can confirm I'm on the right track...Did she remarry a Gilbert and perhaps there is no transcription error, I couldn't find a marriage?? Any help appreciated..

The occupations are the same on both censuses. I think it must be an error by the enumerator

If Axel was really Martha's father then it would have to have been by a different wife as that would make Ellen 14 when she gave birth to Martha .....

My thought was that Ellen was Martha's sister?
