To summarise

Ernest Adolphus Thums married (or at least co-habited with) Anna Rebecca Stove somewhere around 1925. They don’t appear to have any children together although Anna had 3 with her first husband, Edward Cleveland Freed

Lilian Thums married John H Jameson. No children appear with her on census.

Arthur Edwin Thums 20 Jun 1885 is unmarried (or at least not living with a wife) up to 1943. As he is not mentioned in Adolphus obit, he could have died by then.

Bert A Thums 6 Jun 1894 married Mabel L.
Their son -Robert A Thums 12 Sep 1919 - Jul 1984
He married Grace F 12 May 1918 - Jun 1994

They are likely to have had a son Roland,
Roland married Susan Marschke (as per the obit Margee found)
And in turn ‘might’ have a son Ronald

Although I’ve lost track, Roland & Susan, as well as Ronald, might still be alive

Lillian still with parents in 1925 but no husband with her and no children. Some mistranscription done here , Arthur E Jameson is Arthur E. Thums and Eudolphus Thermo is E. Adolphus Thums.

Can't find much about Lillian Jameson (nee Thums) other than the census in the previous posts. It would seem that either her husband was somewhere else or they had separated.

Bearing in mind that she was living in NJ at the time of her brother's death in 1966, this might be her own.

You were disappointed that the US branch died out – I don’t think it did as so far you’ve discounted Lillian (Jameson) of Irvington New Jersey, and Bert Thums of Newark New Jersey (1961 Adolphus’ obit)

The Bert in the city directory is probably Adophus’ brother. The (Mabel L) on the 1942 city directory would be his wife

Can't find Arthur on the 1940 - it could be poorly transcribed. The census is available on Familysearch.org

Births and marriages aren't held by the National Government in the US - they are held at state or even county level. There aren't that many of them on line.
The same applies to deaths, although the SSDI did partially come into effect from 1937, with most records dating from 1967. It can be searched on Familysearch for free.
