Linda - check your messages inbox. I've sent you Cyril Edward Lambert's teacher registration from FindMyPast.

Couldn't find one for Eunice.

Ok, I will do that. I better let you go now or I'll have you here all night! Thank you again for all your help. I feel as if you have 'unblocked' me :-D

These are possibles

Deaths Jun 1882 (>99%)
Rowe Edith 0 Blaby 7a 24

Deaths Jun 1886 (>99%)
Rowe John William 0 Blaby 7a 26

Deaths Mar 1891 (>99%)
Rowe William 2 Blaby 7a 37

The births of some of their children were registered in Blaby district so I've listed the babies/children whos deaths were registered in Blaby. You would also need to do the same for Leicester district.

You then need to rule out those that couldn't be Thomas and Ellen's children by looking at when the other children were born. You will only be able to confirm for certain by purchasing the certificates.

No it's right, Ellen was a widow, so her surname Pane

Chrissie2394

Chrissie2394 Report 1 Mar 2014 21:22

Where does the surname Pane come into it or is that not the right marriage.

Thank you again, it's made my night, it makes sense now why my Dad was born in Lincoln and why we visited Cyril and I presume Eunice. I can still see her and Cyril in my mind and having looked at a family photograph of Thomas, Ellen, Sarah, Susannah, Herbert and Lily I can see the family resemblance in Eunice.

What year did Thomas and Ellen marry

Chrissie2394 Report 1 Mar 2014 21:07

Well if you now remember there was a Cyril who was a schoolmaster at least you now know who she married (getting the marriage certificate will confirm it one way or the other) and you have a date of death.

How do I find out about the 4 children who died? ie sex and year of births.

Linda

Linda Report 1 Mar 2014 21:04

That has to be her because it says Cyril was a schoolmaster, too coincidental not to be. I think I need lessons on research! ;-)

Wow, you're amazing! Yes, it must be the same as I remember his name was Cyril now I see it! Could have been Eunice ... not sure on her name. Thank you so much!

The original image shows that George and Sarah had had 4 children and all still living but there's only three showing.

Thank you, I really appreciate that. I don't know for sure but wondered if she moved to Lincoln as I remember visiting 'relatives'? there but as a child you didn't ask questions, you just went.. but my Grandma went to Lincoln because my Dad was born in Lincoln Hospital.. I feel the people we visited may have been my Dads' cousins, a brother and sister who lived together so I presume had not married, I think he was a headmaster, and she was a teacher, they had a big house in a 'dead end' near a big park, he was in bed, I believe dying of cancer, that's all I remember.

I've just searched the census records on FMP, I've also had a look on public trees on Ancestry to see if anyone has Sarah in their tree but no one appears to have. I'll try some of her siblings see if they are in someones tree.
