The 1881 is the right one it says Ann but believe it should be Mary Ann. I think Mary Ann(Ann) may of married I have found a few marriages for a Mary Ann Noble in Manchetser between 1881 and 1891

Hi Shirley, I preytty sure she would of died in manchester as all the family lived there and still do I may send for the death cert for 1896 in Manchester, just need to locate her in 1891 unless by chance she did go back to Brampton, but the age wouldn't be right for the Brampton death.

Gail, there are a few possible parish records on Ancestry for the marriage of Mary Ann Noble.
Who was her father? That would help find if any of them were the correct marriage and then hopefully lead us to them on the 1891.

Sorry didn't answer been away overnight, right Mary Ann's father was Thomas Noble I have him 1861 in Brampton he was a farm servent/labourer, Mary Ann was in Manchester by 1874/5 as she was a witness at the wedding of her brother also Thomas to Jane Bell. I have no idea if she married, there is a possible death for her mother in 1896 in Mancheter the age would be about right.

Thanks you for that I had heard recently that they were married in Gretna but now to have the date is wonderfull. My mum always said there was a Scottish connection now we know for sure.

Now I need to find where Mary Ann was in 1871 she could be with her niece Margaret Noble born 1859 according to the 1861 census.

Yes that is the correct Mary Ann, mother was Isabella Nixon.

She could have been with her niece Margaret in 1871 as she is also missing from the census, but they turn up in Manchester in 1875 for Margarets wedding.

Hello All,
I wondered if anyone would be able to look for the following information for me?

I am trying to find out if the Thomas Noble born in 1837 in Brampton in this thread possibly married in Scotland like his parents Thomas and Isabella Niixon did in 1835?

He appears to have had a daughter margaret in 1858 but I am unable to confirm who her mother is as there no marriages for Thomas. Fairly certain she was illegimate and Thomas parents took her in.
