Could some kind person please look on 1911 census for 2 Edward Burton's both married to Elizabeth's and both born 1834/35 one born Papplewick Nottingham and one born Bulwell Nottingham.

Yes that's one of them the other Edward was christened Joseph E. Burton 21 Dec 1834 in Papplewick son of Joseph and Ann but for some reason they dropped the Joseph name and had another son Joseph born 1838.

I know the one from Papplewick is alive in 1911 living I think on curtis st the other one not so sure. The wife of Edward form Papplewick was born Hucknall and the wife of Edward from Bulwell was born Leicestershire may be Loughborough both again abt 1834/35.

Thank you for all your help. I'm going have to do some more work on those two I do know that one of the Edwards died in 1921 and was living on curtis St at that time I think it was the one born Papplewick but not sure about the one born Bulwell, in 1891 he was living at 4 Roden Street in Nottingham.

Again thank you for you help I do think the Edward you all found as a widower was the one born Papplewick.

hi all,

Just to let you know that the Edward you found on all the above census is the one born Papplewick everything ties in with him his wife Elizabeth died 1899 Curtis street, I have found their burial records in Hucknall Cemetery and they are buried in graves next to each other.
Now to find what happened to the Bulwell Edward and his wife Elizabeth I now know the had a daughter Amelia born 1874 Nottingham who could have also been called Emma on 1891 census. RG12/2699/18/32.
