Yes, surely she had baby Harold Eugene with her when she sailed back to England as he was born in Albany? Poor Gertrude must have been pregnant when she sailed to the USA or got pregnant soon after!

Here she is returning in 1896 with Cecil 12, Dennis 9, Alfred 6. Wonder where the other children are?

As a coincidence, Denis left my Great Aunt with small children in the USA. My cousins Dad did not see her father after the age of 5.

Here she is again, I think. She is travelling with Miss FM Quick, 23, a dressmaker.

Sorry, missed your comments whilst typing but I would think it's the same person. I'm surprised she went back to her husband when they arrived back in England but I suppose with all those children she didn't have much of a choice. Poor woman.

The census shows Gertrude as born Exeter and also Leonard seemed to return alone.
