These are the only deaths I can see for a Thomas Gray in the East Riding of Yorkshire, 1901-11, to fit with his age at 1901 census.

But neither of these can have been Hilda's father.

Death for Elsie would seem to be the correct one as this is her baptism:-

A tree on ancestry gives her date of death as 1904. It also gives this for Thomas:-

..........as it gives the exact date I would think that they have the certificate but it is a private tree so can't view.

I've been looking for Thomas's death but didn't couldn't find it. I wasn't sure were he died.

As for him being Hilda's dad. I found a comment in my notes to suggest that she wasn't their child but I didn't give a reason for thinking that. so perhaps she's not there's.

That is Elsie's death. They had another child called Beatrice Mary Gray b 1894 Gainsborough and she was the other child they lost.

Its a shame that Burton upon stather baptism records are not available on line and neither are Hulls so I can't check them.
