I'm looking for any information at all on the following Laura Whitehouse (nee Pettifer). she had three children William H b.1926 Pauline b.1927 & Alma b.1929 all born Wallingford Hampshire.Husband William H Whitehouse. Many Thanks Sarah

Where have you looked for information? The free website below will give you the marriage details and if you purchase the marriage certificate it should show names of both bride and grooms fathers. You can then search the 1911 census to find the families.

They appear to have been married in Birmingham in 1924.

I'm assuming you've come upon Laura through researching the Whitehouse line.

When was her husband born? It might give us an idea of Laura's probable age.

Ancestry doesn't show any Laura Pettifer living in Birmingham in 1911, except a married woman born 1878.

And none born in Birmingham at any time.
FreeBMD shows none born in Warwickshire at any time 1837-1908.

Do you have t heir birth years and what the H name is for William H as there are quite a few with the same name

I thought too that Wallingford is in Oxfordshire not Hampshire ???

Edit it was Berkshire to 1974 then trans to Oxfordshire from 1974

this could be her staffordshire is not far from birmingham

That's just one of many possibles, Yvonne, unfortunately.

Her children were born in Wallingford, and the family may have moved anywhere after that, so there's no way of knowing where she might have died.
And we don't know when she was born.

She did not have a second forename, according to her marriage registration. However, the only birth for her name with no second name was in 1878 - coincidentally in Wallingford.

The younger daughter may have married in Birmingham, which suggests her parents may have been living there (1949)

Hi many thanks to everyone who has attempted to help me with Laura Whitehouse (nee Pettifer).she was born in Stone Staffordshire in 1902 but living in Birkenhead with family according to C11. The family moved to Birmingham although I'm not sure when. She married William H Whitehead in Birmingham in 1924 and they had 3 children all born in Wallingford Hampshire.This all the info. I have on Laura and don't know anything about William ie d.o.b. middle name, occupation or death and unfortunately no one else seems to be researching them on Genes Reunited. Sarah
