Wonder where John was in 1871 and 1881

According to a tree on Ancestry John remarried in 1892 in the Kelvin district of Glasgow to Jessie Beinur Hunter Stanborough

Possibly John in 1891?? His marriage cert says he was born 1858 ; but the 1861 census says 1853. Can't find a birth record for him on SP.

ArgyllGran, Marion isn't with William and his wife Esther in 1891. I can't find her anywhere in 1891. I think that perhaps Pauline meant the 1901 census was the one with William and his niece.

It sounded as if she meant 1891, as she mentioned Marion being 3 in 1891 - but no, can't find her anywhere.
