Trying to find where ethel wade born approx. 1888 was born. She married Aaron green in Burnley st Catherine,s in 1905 which would make her around 17. I have found her death in 1931 in Burnley. Would like to find out where she was born. Please could someone e one check the 1911 census which would hopefully give a place of birth.

Shirley - your opening post says her birth year was 1888?

So wasn't sure if the 1888 Burnley ethel wade was her. She seems to have added two years on on the census.

Siblings match the census

Think that was because I couldn't find an ethel wade in 1886 born in Burnley but seems I wasn't searching properly. Thanks for that. :-)

Shirley - I'm not seeing a registration to match that baptism, there is another Ethel Wade born 1890 (parents Barnabas and Mary Ann), probably too young to have married 1905.

Think I tried lbmd too....Think this was why I was confused. But now I know that there is an ethel wade born 1886 that may be her. I will either go and check the church register or get the marriage cert. Just to make sure. Thank you :-)

Marie Celeste...does this mean she was registered as Allen...maybe Reuben and Elizabeth e th were not married at time of birth ...strange though as she wasn't oldest child....
However...Hollingreave road is in the Burnley wood area of st Catherine s so there is a chance we m a y have the correct ethel. :-)
