Ah yes..well done...Reuben had previous marriage....perhaps no chance for Reuben and Elizabeth to marry..or perhaps Reuben took ethel on as his own...Will have a look for marriage of Elizabeth and Reuben. :-D

Marie Celeste...does this mean she was registered as Allen...maybe Reuben and Elizabeth e th were not married at time of birth ...strange though as she wasn't oldest child....
However...Hollingreave road is in the Burnley wood area of st Catherine s so there is a chance we m a y have the correct ethel. :-)

Think I tried lbmd too....Think this was why I was confused. But now I know that there is an ethel wade born 1886 that may be her. I will either go and check the church register or get the marriage cert. Just to make sure. Thank you :-)

Just checked againi and ethel doesn't seem to appear on fbmd. For the year 1886 in Burnley anyway...thought I must be doing something wrong. ? :-)

Shirley - I'm not seeing a registration to match that baptism, there is another Ethel Wade born 1890 (parents Barnabas and Mary Ann), probably too young to have married 1905.

Think that was because I couldn't find an ethel wade in 1886 born in Burnley but seems I wasn't searching properly. Thanks for that. :-)
