Going by the birthdate on 1939 entry and then checking on freebmd, there was a James Thomas registered in the correct quarter.....

I wonder if his parents changed their mind about his name.??

No Gwyn he has always been Tom to us I think my auntie might be right he could have been born in Ireland any ideas ?

His fathers name was George Malyon

did samuel have any siblings i have found that malyon which is my family name is spelt different ways could not find one of mine in the census and had trouble finding his death

I just cannot find Samuel Thomas Malyon or Tom Malyon birth if anyone can help would be very grateful !
