I'm trying to tie up a few loose ends on my tree which are not absolutely essential to find, but with which I am going round in circles :-)

William Fishlock my gt gt grandfather married his 2nd ( and much younger) wife Annie Maria Wakeford in 1888 ( both his marriages confirmed by certs on Ancestry and I don't need anything on the Fishlocks) . Ann Maria Wakeford's brother John married Caroline Elizabeth Kerchevall

I Know that William J Fishlock is showing as a widower in 1911 living with his son and family and I 'suspect' but don't yet have the cert that his wife Annie may have died 1897 .

But I can't find either John Wakeford or Caroline Elizabeth Wakeford after 1901 or a re-marriage or death between 1901 and 1911 that fits with their ages that I haven't discounted.

That's the right one Mel, her mmn was Francis , checked against parents marriage and births of siblings.

as far as I know she did not marry again as William stated he was a widower in 1911, BUT as said I don't have a death cert, the closest is an Annie Fishlock death Deaths Dec 1897 (>99%)

I think I will get that as a long shot.

the age is out to birthdate but does tie in with her age given on 1891 census... both she and William were less than accurate about ages, especially his when they married!

Choccy, i think you're right they do look similar don't they and father's occ is the same.

They are definately the same.

But where is Alice in 1901 when John is at his parents, and my gt gt gf is playing house with John's first wife :-0 it gets worse instead of better lol

I can't see any other John Wakeford born c1875, with father George, in 1881 census.

Of course that George might have died before 1881.

No, can't see them anywhere.

They don't' seem to have emigrated, either.

Not that it helps really but parents George and Emily in 1911, generally speaking the Fishlock and associated families all stayed within the Chiswick/Brentford/Isleworth/Fulham area
