Does her DC say widow or spinster? As there is no date to go with the month, it sounds as if the informant didn't have documented proof of her full DOB.

As there's no Hilda Cansdale mmn Demment, could she have been born before any marriage? The lack of a mmn on the index does suggest her mother was unmarried.
